    Q: Am I eligible to receive the service?
    A: In order to be eligible to receive the service you need to meet several requirements:
    Oleh Hadash (new immigrant)

    • Not born in Israel and eligible to immigrate to Israel in accordance with the Law of Return (and the amendment to the law).

    • Up to 10 years in Israel from the date of immigration, Ethiopia and the Caucasus origin – up to 15 years

    • Age of immigration to Israel – 15 years old or older.

    • Residence – from Metula to Rishon LeZion and according to the address stated in the ID

    • Academic / professional / have professional occupational experience

    • Does not receive assistance in acknowledging licensed profession by the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption.

    • Completed Ulpan A and Absorption Basket – six months in Israel.

    • Does not receive assistance relating to academic studies by the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption (Student Authority)

    • Work-ages – 18-67.

    Q: What does it mean “assistance relating to licensed profession”?

    A: Licensed profession are the professions which the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption provides assistance to holders of those professions.

    Following are the licensed professions:

    • Physician.

    • Male and female Nurses.

    • Dentists.

    • Pharmacists and pharmacist assistants/ pharmacologists

    • Physical therapists.

    • Dieticians.

    • Psychologists.

    • Laboratorians.

    • Speech therapists.

    • Veterinarians.

    • Lawyers.

    • CPA.

    Q: I have Israeli citizenship and I have returned to Israel after 5 years abroad, am I eligible?

    A: Returning residents are also eligible to receive service at the employment centers if they meet the following criteria:

    • Eligible to receive service for two years from the date of returning to Israel.

    • Residence – from Metula to Rishon LeZion and according to the address stated in the ID

    • Academic / professional / have professional experience.

    • Does not receive assistance in acknowledging licensed profession by the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption.
    • Work-ages – 18-67.

    Q: If I have a licensed profession and I am not interested in receiving assistance from the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption, what do I need to do?

    A: If you have a licensed profession and you are not interested in receiving assistance from the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption, you need to sign a “waiver form” at the Ministry of Absorption office in your area of residence, and ask the absorption consultant to refer you to an Employment Center.

    Q: If I am currently working, am I still entitle to receive the service?

    A: It is possible, there may be a need to check your eligibility.
    Please contact one of the employment centers near you.

    Q: If I wish to realize my right to receive a voucher (professional course), will I still be entitled to receive service from the employment center?

    A: Yes. You are entitled to receive service from the employment center and you will also receive occupational diagnosis by an occupational psychologist.

    Q: If I don’t know Hebrew very well, can I still find a job in my field?

    A: Yes, there are many positions that do not require knowing the Hebrew language, but in order to be entitled to out services you need to complete Ulpan A.
